Once a direction is established, parameters and approaches need to be explored. Frequently this involves budgeting, planning and gaining approval from a management team, owners, boards and/or investors.

A Business Case helps to frame the answers to critical questions, such as:

• How much will a solution cost?
• What are some of the solutions we should be considering?
• How long will it take?
• What will the benefits be?
• What personnel and human resources need to be committed, and when?
• What are the risks involved?
• What is the impact of doing nothing?

Many clients have a general idea of the answers to these questions, but need independent validation and help organizing and presenting a powerful business case. Other clients simply do not have the experience putting a business case together for a significant investment such as an ERP implementation.

In either case, Innovative works with you and your team to create a concise and powerful presentation that provides management with a realistic appreciation of the situation.

In many cases, the Business Case consists of a short Executive Summary, and additional detail to back up key assumptions and conclusions.
